Sejarah Lahirnya Kantata Takwa

Kantata Takwa, nama kelompok musik legendaris beranggotakan para musisi-seniman berkualitas tinggi yang dimiliki Indonesia. Banyak dari kita cuma mengenal lagu-lagunya saja dan cukup puas melihat konser atau rekamannya, jarang kisah awal mula berdirinya kelompok musik ini diketahui.

Maka dari itu kami angkat kembali tulisan lama dari Yockie Suryo Prayogo mengenai Sejarah Lahirnya Kantata Takwa. Artikel ini tampil utuh di iwanfalsmania.com dengan seijin langsung dari penulisnya. Mungkin sudah ada yang pernah membacanya, namun kami yakin ada pula yang belum tahu. Semoga bisa menambah wawasan kita dan menjadi dokumentasi berharga musik Indonesia. (*)

Sejarah lahirnya Kantata Takwa (Bagian 1)

Kantata Takwa, so long story that I can write about the band. Because of that I had to divide the writing cantatas with version 1 - 2 -3 and then later. In this section I will only reveal the story of my introduction to the formation of an agreement mas Djody arts working group, which was eventually called Cantata Takwa.
Pada tahun 1989, saat itu saya sedang gencar melakukan promo tour bersama kelompok Godbless bagi album kami yang bertajuk ”Semut Hitam”. Saat itu saya masih tinggal di sebuah rumah (kontrakan) di daerah Kebon Jeruk, tepatnya di jalan Anggrek no.52 Kelapa Dua Kebon Jeruk – Jakarta Barat.

Then I was introduced to Setiawan Djody by Jely Tobing and while we were deep in conversation "Ngalor ngidul" before I went along gunjrang-nge-berisikin gunjreng neighbors ...: "JUMP!" Semenjak I often mas Djody Calling to discuss issues about the development of music in Indonesia. Catatan redaksi:
Setelah album Kantata Takwa yang posisi vocal didominasi Iwan Fals, selanjutnya rilis album kedua berjudul Kantata Samsara dimana porsi vocal Iwan Fals berkurang. Lalu muncul album ketiga yaitu Kantata Revolvere, disini Iwan Fals tidak bergabung. Dan kini (2011) dibentuklah Kantata Barock, kali ini Iwan Fals bergabung namun Yockie Suryo Prayogo tidak ikut dan WS Rendra telah meninggal dunia pada 6 Agustus 2009.
